内容	One aspect of Iwasawa theory concerns the characteristic ideal of a naturally occurring Iwasawa module, giving a relationship between that ideal and a $p$-adic $L$-function. However, sometimes an interesting Iwasawa module turns out to be pseudo-null, or at least conjecturally pseudo-null. The characteristic ideal of a pseudo-null module is trivial even though the module itself may be nontrivial. Is there something that one can say which relates the structure of such a pseudo-null Iwasawa module to $p$-adic $L$-functions? This talk will describe one very special situation in which such a relationship can be established.
