内容	Abstract: I will first give an introduction to non-commutative Iwasawa theory, and the strategy of Burns and Kato, which is designed to attack the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory in the non-commutative setting. Roughly speaking, the strategy says that once we have various commutative main conjectures, a family of non-commutative generalization of Kummer's congruence is sufficient to establish the non-commutative main conjecture. The transfer congruence is the simplest family of such non-commutative Kummer congruence. In the second part, I will explain how to prove the transfer congruence for p-adic Hecke L-functions which were first constructed by Katz and later studied by Hida, Tilouine, and more recently by Hsieh.
