"Mathmatical Analyses for the Hasegawa-Wakatani equations"
The Hasegawa-Wakatani equations describe the plasma in Tokamak, and I have been studying the initial boundary value problem for it. Since the plasma is confined by a strong magnetic field in Tokamak, the drift wave turbulence occurs. It is believed that the drift wave turbulence causes the anomalous transport, and the anomalous transport decays the property of the nuclear fusion. So I decided to study the Hasegawa-Wakatani equations which describe the resistive drift wave turbulence.
◇ How to prove ◇
First we prove the existence of the local strong solution of the initial boundary value problem for the regularized Hasegawa-Wakatani equations. Next we prove the uniform estimates of the solution of the initial boundary value problem for the regularized Hasegawa-Wakatani equations. Finally, by this uniform estimates, we prove the existence of the local strong solution of the initial boundary value problem for the Hasegawa-Wakatani equations.
