My main theme is to construct a mathematical theory of fluid mechanics. Especially, I am studying basic equations for water waves, which are formulated as a free boundary problem for the Euler equation. The water wave is a source of various dispersive equations and one needs various mathematical techniques in the analysis. So it is a very interesting subject both in fluid mechanics and in mathematics. |
