My research interest is Iwasawa theory of number fields. Especially, I study Iwasawa theories of class field towers and multi-variables. The theory of class field towers is very classical and important, but the properties are not well known even now. Recentlly, Manabu Ozaki developed the non-abelian Iwasawa theory of ℤp-extensions, and he proved a non-abelian Iwasawa's formula. Then, many number theorists are interested in the structure of Galois groups of class field towers over ℤp-extensions.
Yasushi Mizusawa gave many examples of Galois groups of class field towers in the case of p=2. But, when p is an odd prime number, we have only a few examples yet. On the other hand, there is an application from Iwasawa theory of multi-variables to class field towers in several cases independent of prime numbers. I would like to study Iwasawa theory of multi-variables to know the properties of class field towers.
